Jaguar XK140 Roadster – Pewter Sculpture
‘Breezin – Official tribute to the Jaguar XK140′
by Raymond Meyers for The Franklin Mint

This was produced in 1979 and is from the Mint’s series of pieces commemorating significant automobiles that competed in Sports Car Club of America sanctioned events. Each 1:24 scale piece was very high quality with a great amount of detail. The overall length is just under 7 inches, and it weighs 3 LBS. On the underside are all the pertinent details including the SCCA logo.

As many know, The Franklin Mint is now only a mere shadow of itself, The “Mint” has not produced anything original in very many years. But back in their heyday, they produced numerous original collectibles, some were automotive such as this piece we have seen, bought and sold most of their well known automotive scenes of classic cars. The SCCA sports car series sculptures are more difficult to find, especially in perfect condition as this one is, and the Jaguar happens to be the rarest most sought after of the four SCCA cars. Almost impossible to find.

The overall accuracy of the car, combined with the detail, and feel of the scene works extremely well. You might on an extremely rare occasion find one of these sculptures, but very often it will be damaged and missing at least one or two parts: the mirrors and windshield frame almost always suffer badly. This is the only one of these sculptures we have ever found/had for sale.
