About Sean McKenna:
I feel more like a proud parent than an agent for Sean
McKenna and his marvelous models. These very rare 1:8th
scale Bugatti models are masterpieces and represent
exceptional value. Sean spent a good deal of time studying
with some well known European model makers. Not only has
he perfected and improved many modeling techniques learned
over the years, but he continues to hone and make
improvements in all areas to create superb collector models
that offer much more value for the money than some of the
more well known names. Just ask me and I’ll be glad to

About the T-55 model:
Sean’s first release was the Bugatti Type 55 Supersport
Roadster shown on this page. The edition is limited to only 25
examples (plus 1 for S. McKenna). Just a few are still available
on a «built to order basis.» Each is serial numbered and signed
by Sean McKenna. Because more than one of each model is
being made these are referred to as a «limited edition» of
scratch built models. Although there are some castings in
each and some tooling has been made to assist in creating
certain parts these are very far removed from typical limited
edition production models. Because he is producing and
edition of each the price per model is substantially lower than if
each was the only one being made. They are the equal of
most any scratch built model today:
* Each body is made of brass, hand formed......with hammers !
* Numerous machined parts - everywhere!
* High quality castings of many materials such as bronze and aluminum.
* Hand rubbed paint finish.
* When possible with respect to materials the model stays true to the 1:1 Bugatti: Wood rim steering wheel, Leather upholstery, Nickel Silver
radiator, Aluminum cast compressor and inlet manifold, Cast Iron cylinder block, Steel suspension. ETC.
Working features of note:
* Double hinged hood(bonnet) on both sides with working latches.
* Working steering.
* Working suspension.
* Adjustable windshield.
* Opening trunk(boot).
* Removable spare tires.
Hundreds of hours are required for each model, built with patience, passion, precision, and in respect of the tradition of the craft. These 1:8th
scale Bugatti’s are truly amongst the best limited edition models we have seen in years. Each is a work full of charm and beauty, completely
capturing the mood and detail of the original. As mentioned above these models represent exceptional value. The quality, level of detail,
